WHAT IS A SCALE UP VISA?
The Scale of Visa is a newly launched point-based visa for migrant workers around the world.
The Visa was launched in Aug 2022 so it’s still very much new.
This visa is designed to allow those with a suitable Job offer and with the required skill to migrate to the UK, They must however get a job from a recognized UK scale up company to qualify for this visa.
WHAT IS A SCALE UP COMPANY?
A Scale Up company is a company with a minimum of ten employees and a growth rate of over 20% for either annual average revenue or employment over a three year period is called as a scale up company
There are two stages in this visa.
First stage, you will need Visa sponsorship for a minimum of six months from a Scale up company.
After this initial six month period, you will be permitted to undertake or pick up any work for any employer within the UK, including voluntary and self-employment, except if you are a professional sports person or sports coach.
The second stage is the unsponsored stage, which means you don't need sponsorship and it is offered three year period and allows existing scale up workers to remain in the UK. This is for those already in the UK. And can prove them have been earning 33k pounds at least in half of the time they have spent in the UK.
However, you must demonstrate that you had received a monthly guaranteed basic gross pay as you earn paying earnings in the UK equivalent to 33,000 per annum during at least 50% of your two year permission as a scale of workout.
So once you get a job offer and sponsorship, you can bring your family with you and you can apply for UK IDTR after five years.
For Scale Up Visa you will require sponsorship for a minimum of six months from a scale up company on a point based system, This means you’ll need to accumulate a total number of 70 points to be granted scale up visa.
So you need to show
1. Funds where you collect 10 points, and for
2. English Language Certificate you also collect 10 points.
So you are left with the remaining 50 points?
To collect the remaining 50 points you need job offer from a scale up company and your job must be at appropriate level.
What is Eligibility for this Visa
To qualify, you must be aged 18 years or over on the date of application and must have the following,
1. A job offer and sponsorship for the first six months from authorized scale up company in the UK
2. You must be skilled at graduate level, which is equivalent to RQF level six (HND/BSC)
3. And third, you need a job with minimum salary of 33k pound annually.
4. Number four, you must meet the financial requirement of holding funds for at least £1270 for 28 days, unless you are already living in the UK for last twelve months.
5. Fifth, you must have an English language ability in all components of at least level B one. UKVI Academics Band 5.5 to 6.5

Day 28 must be within 31 days of applying for this visa. Your partner and children will also need to prove they can support themselves while they’re in the UK.
